Description |
Needlework Box: This item is a box for holding needlework and sewing supplies. It is made of cardboard with a sort of faux-leather covering. The box itself is crescent-shaped. Two cords are attached to the box at either side, creating carrying handles. The top of the box opens via two panels. Beneath the top panels are holders for needles and crochet hooks of varying sizes. There are four hooks includes, which screw into an accompanying shaft. The inside of the top of the box features three storage compartments and a small mirror. There is a hole in the center, presumably for a thimble. Both ends of the box also pull out, revealing storage compartments. Around the outside of the box are small metal clasps which once held these compartments closed, though the band which once attached to them is missing. There is a green sticker on the bottom of the box with some lines and illegible writing. Measures: Width 10 1/4", Depth 3 1/4", Height 3 1/4". |
