Photograph: Photograph is black and white. Subjects are Dr. R. B. Wetherill and Thomas Duncan. Paper lable at bottom of the photograph reads, "Dr. R. B. Wetherill and Thomas Duncan sitting under Mango tree, April 16, 1923 at Ujiji on /Lake Tanganyika, Central Africa. This tree was planted by David Livingstone and /Henry M. Stanley to commemorate the spot on whifch they met Novembert 10, 1871." Frame: brown wood frame, simple, outter edges painted gold. Frame back: cardboard backing, held in place by nails. two eye hooks on the frame, set up for a wire hanging mount, but yarn was used instead. Dimensions: 15 1/2" x 21 1/4" x 5/8" |
