Description |
Lithograph, made of paper and photographs, late 1800s. Family record of the Preston B. Shipley/ Angeline (Brownlee) Mattocks line ca. late 1800s. "Designed and Executed with a pen by Enoch J. Holliday St. Louis Mich. / Entered According to Act of Congress in the Year 1872 by Enoch J. Holliday in the Librarian (sic) of Congress Washington D.C." printed in small black letters at bottom. Comprised of blue background bordered in white with ten oval frames into which individual family member photographs have been inserted. Five white 4" diameter circular spaces surrounded by intricately printed wreaths contain birth and marriage information recorded in pen. Two 3" x 6" tombstone shaped compartments with "Deaths" printed at top of each are on either side of base. Photographs have been taken by Delphi and Lafayette photographers. The collage is in very poor condition with many ceases and tears. |
