Photograph Album: Carte-de-visite album with a brown leather cover with black detail. There are four white knobs on the cover and pressed in gold on the spine: "Album". It is held closed with a gold metal latch. On the inside front cover is a sticker, "W. H. LEVERING & SON, / WHOLESALE AND RETAIL / Booksellers & Stationers / LAFAYETTE, INDIANA". On the title page is handwritten, "Christmas / 1869 / from A. E. B." The hard cardboard pages are designed to hold tintypes and carte-de-visite cards. Some of the images have identifications written beneath the image window, or dates of death. There are 39 different images in the album. Album measures 4 1/2" x 5 5/8" x 2 5/8". |
